Mill Creek's fall and holiday calendar, refreshed
The calendar through the end of the year is set, and it is a good one. Trunk-or-Treat on Main is this Saturday, October 31, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Town Center Plaza on Main Street. Cars and businesses line Main handing out candy while kids go car to car. It is free, all ages, and it is the Town Center doing what it was built for.
Veterans Day is Wednesday, November 11: a 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. ceremony at Library Park (15429 Bothell-Everett Highway), then a parade through the Town Center from 11:00 a.m. to noon with military vehicles, marching bands, and color guards. This year the ceremony includes a ribbon-cutting on the newly upgraded Veterans Monument, so it is worth setting aside the morning.
New on the calendar: City Chat, the city's winter edition, is Wednesday, November 18 at Cogir Senior Living, a casual evening to talk with city leaders about what is happening in Mill Creek. Check the city's event page for the time.
Then the big one: Holidays on Main is Saturday, December 5, a full day of holiday events through the Town Center. Santa's Coming to Town Center runs noon to 6:00 p.m. at The Forum (15115 Main Street), and the day ends with the city's annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Jewelry Source Plaza (15603 Main Street). It is the biggest night on Mill Creek's winter calendar.
For buyers weighing a move, these events are useful beyond the fun. The Town Center draws the whole city together, and seeing that in person tells you more about Mill Creek's character than any statistic will.
